What do business owners often ask?
How long does it take to set up a PT?
It depends on how complete your documents are and the notary's schedule. Once your documents are complete, we give an estimated time per stage in the written quote.
Can I set up a PT without an office?
A PT still needs a valid domicile address that suits its business activity. We help check whether the address you have can be used.
What's the difference between a PT and a sole-founder PT?
A PT is founded by at least two people with a notarial deed. A sole-founder PT (PT Perorangan) is founded by one Indonesian citizen through an online statement, and is only for micro and small businesses.
Which documents do I need to prepare?
The founders' ID cards and NPWP, three company name options, the domicile address, the planned capital, and a description of the business activity.
What is an NIB and does my business need one?
The NIB is the business identification number issued through OSS. Every business that wants to operate legally, including micro and small ones, needs one.
What is KBLI and why does it matter?
KBLI is the business activity classification code. It decides which licences you need and your risk level on OSS.
When does my business need to become a PKP?
It's mandatory once annual turnover exceeds IDR 4.8 billion. Below that, you can register voluntarily, for example when corporate clients ask for it.
Does a new PT have to file SPT straight away?
Yes. Once the company NPWP is issued, the PT must file monthly and annual SPT returns, even with no transactions yet.
Is LegalEase a government agency?
No. LegalEase is a private legal consultancy. Official licences and documents are still issued by the relevant authorities.
